Can-Can, Night of the Living Dead, and More Local Theater for 2014-15

From the Paper Mill Playhouse to The Theater Project, The Strollers, and interACT, there will be plenty of live theater to enjoy in Maplewood, Millburn and South Orange this 2014-2015 season.


Paper Mill Playhouse:

  • Can-Can, which debuted on Broadway in 1953 and made Gwen Verdon a star, will open Paper Mill Playhouse’s 2014-2015 season. This Broadway-bound revival will October 1 through 26 and stars the Tony-nominated Kate Baldwin as Pistache and Jason Danieley as Aristide. Can-Can will be performed eight times a week: Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m.Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 pm.  Tickets are on sale now and range from $28 to $99 and can be purchased by calling 973.376.4343, at the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office or online at Groups of 10 or more can receive up to a 40% discount on tickets and should call 973.315.1680.

interACT Productions is presenting An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe on August 22 and 24 at The Baird (read more here), followed by:


  • George A. Romero’a Night of the Living Dead Live, by Christopher Bond, Dale Boyer and Trevor Martin, Created by Christopher Harrison and Phil Pattison, Based on the original film Night of the Living Dead by George A.
